I have been a patient of Mr Radu Popa’s for almost a year. He is concise and knowledgeable in his approach. I first had bilateral nerve blocks and bilateral facet joint injections in my spine under local anaesthetic in theatre and felt reassured that Mr Popa was overseeing the procedure. This was performed to ensure that all other options had been tried before surgery. I ultimately went on to need a TLIF spinal fusion, which Mr Popa performed using minimally invasive -keyhole- surgery. Although I was nervous going into surgery I felt in safe hands. The surgery went smoothly, I was home the next day, no issues with healing and scars are minimal. After fusion is completed I am confident this surgery will have massive improvements to my quality of life. I’m 8 weeks post op and doing good. I’m happy with quality of care provided and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him.

I have worked with Mr Popa for over three years in three different hospitals. Although a young consultant at the beginning of his career he has shown a remarkable integrity. He has never stopped to impress me with his surgical talent and care for his patients. His dedication in to achieving good clinical outcomes for his patients is beyond belief. He cares not only about his patients but also about people he works with as he actually operated on several members of staff. Although he is an extremely busy man he wouldn’t make a rebate on the quality of his work. I have always thought that his patients are extremely fortunate to have met him and would recommend him to anyone without hesitation.
